About This Vile Course

A Series of Unfortunate Events is the collective volume of thirteen books written by Lemony Snicket, which is a pen name for Daniel Handler.

The series follows the unfortunate lives of the three extremely unlucky Baudelaire orphans, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, trying to get by in their difficult lives and survive the pursuit of their nemesis Count Olaf and his various associates who attempt to steal their inherited fortune. Even though they are charming and clever, the Baudelaire siblings lead lives filled with misery and woe. From the very first lesson of this course when the children are at the beach and receive terrible news, continuing on through the entire course, disaster lurks at their heels. One might say they are magnets for misfortune.

I’m sorry to say that the course you are about to take is extremely unpleasant. However, it is my sad duty to teach you this unpleasant course, but there is nothing stopping you from turning off your device at once and doing something happy, if you prefer that sort of thing.
